Police identified the woman killed in a two-vehicle crash late Wednesday night in west Wichita.
Anastasia Carter, 24 of Wichita, was driving north on Ridge Road when a southbound truck turned left onto W. Shade Lane and hit her.
Carter was trapped in the vehicle but emergency crews were able to get her out and transport her to the hospital in critical condition. However, she later died from her injuries.
The driver of the truck was also taken to the hospital with reported non-life-threatening injuries. He was later booked into jail on suspicion of involuntary manslaughter while driving under the influence, along with other charges.
