UPDATE: A woman was injured after she was struck by a vehicle in east Wichita.A woman was hospitalized in critical condition after she was struck by a vehicle early Friday morning in E. Wichita.
It happened just before 4:00 a.m. Friday morning, near Central and Oliver. Officers found a woman, 31, lying in the road. They said she appeared to have been struck by a vehicle that had left the scene.
The woman was transported to the hospital in critical condition.
Investigators were able to identify and locate the vehicle, which had visible damage consistent with the crash.
A man, 39, was taken into custody and booked into the Sedgwick County Jail.
Formal charges are pending.
