The Wichita Police Department issued a warning on its Facebook page after a 14-year-old Wichita girl reported an attempted abduction. In the post, the WPD said the incident occurred Feb. 10th around 3:40 p.m. in the 2500 block of W. Esthner, near Harry and Meridian.
According to police, the girl was walking home when a maroon sedan pulled up beside her, and a passenger in the vehicle made inappropriate comments and attempted to coerce her into the car. The girl described that passenger as a male approximately 6' tall with a muscular build, with a medium complexion and dark curly hair and a short black beard.
Anyone with information on the vehicle, driver, or passengers of the vehicle is asked to contact WPD investigators.
