According to Wichita Police a man was taken into custody following a standoff at a home near Pawnee and McLean. The incident began after a 911 call around 3:15 a.m. Thursday.
Sedgwick County Dispatch received a call about a suspicious person. The caller said the man was acting strangely, and that he climbed on his roof. The caller had captured a 48-year-old man on a Ring camera. The homeowner kept his family in the basement until police were able to talk the man down at around 10:15 a.m. Investigators say they believe the man was having a mental health crisis.
