
A young girl was injured by an arrow on a school playground in McPherson.
It happened just before 10:00 a.m. Tuesday, during morning recess at Roosevelt Elementary School. A girl, 7, was hit in the arm by an arrow.
The child was transferred to a Wichita hospital in stable condition.
School officials said that a crisis team was called in to help the other students who witnessed the incident.
A man, 31, doing target practice on a neighboring property, is cooperating with law enforcement. He was arrested on suspicion of aggravated battery and aggravated child endangerment.
Bond was set at $12,500.
