The inaugural game for the Wichita Wind Surge baseball team is scheduled for 6:35 p.m. Tuesday at the Springfield Cardinals.
Wichita is the Double-A affiliate of the Minnesota Twins.
This will be the first game for affiliated minor league baseball in Wichita in 14 years, since the Wichita Wranglers left for a new stadium in Springdale, Arkansas.
The Wind Surge opens its franchise history with a six-game series in Springfield.
