A Port of Los Angeles worker has been killed and another severely hurt.
Port spokesman Phillip Sanfield tells KNX the accident happened this morning.
"There was an accident involving a top loader container handler which is a piece of equipment that is used on the terminal. We are not exactly sure how it happened," Sanfield said.
Initial reports were that there was a blown tire that was attached to the top loader.
Investigators are on scene determining what led up to and caused the accident.
