Santa Monica police and the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives are working together to track down an arson suspect who, they believe, caused millions of dollars of damage during the civil unrest back in May.

Investigators say the woman started a fire at Santa Monica Tobacco on May 31 before she set an REI store on Santa Monica Boulevard on fire.

Authorities released high-resolution security video images of the female suspect with short hair who was wearing a gray crochet top, black pants and a turquoise mask.

Sergeant Cody Green from Santa Monica Police tells KNX 1070 News the suspect will face serious consequences.

Authorities are offering a reward of up to $5,000 dollars for information that will lead to the arrest of the suspect.

Anyone with information is urged to call Santa Monica Police Department.
