Bub & Grandma's Bakery in Silver Lake Closes After an Employee Tests Positive for COVID-19

Bub & Grandma's bakery in Silver Lake shut down immediately Monday after an employee tested positive for COVID-19.

According to a story reported by LA Eater, the popular bakery supplies bread to numerous area restaurants including Sqirl, Dune, Kismet, Pasjoli and more.

The Instagram post from Bub & Grandma's bakery wrote on Monday: "One of our bakers just tested positive for Covid-19. We’re shutting down operations effective immediately. We suggest that if you bought bread from one of our retailers today, you toss it. We’ll take care of you when we open back up - just get in touch."

The post went on to write about the immediate plans moving forward.

"We did everything right over the last 4 months and it still wriggled its way into our building. So please, take Covid seriously. It is not over. We never relented and this still happened. We’re getting everyone tested immediately, will do some seriously intense sanitizing and deep cleaning and we hope to reopen as soon as is safely possible."
