Elizabeth Fire Burns More Than 200 Acres Near Ventura

The Elizabeth Fire now stands at 250 acres burning in the hills just northeast of Ventura Wednesday.

There is 20 percent containment late Wednesday afternoon. Two firefighters have been transported away from the scene due to general illness and exhaustion.

Firefighters from LA Fire County Fire Department and the Ventura County Fire Department are making progress on the ground and in the air. 

The fire is visible from the 101 and 126 freeways, according to KNX traffic reporter Brian Douglas.

A few structures are threatened that are agricultural businesses, according to the video below.
