It was the case of an abandoned double-double burger from famed West Coast chain In-N-Out in New York City.
A Santa Monica native, Lincoln Boehm, who moved to the city nine years ago, came across the burger -- untouched -- on a Queens block at 6:30 a.m. Saturday.
He and his wife were catching a train at Jamaica Island Railroad station but wanted to eat something at a McDonald's nearby, according to a New York Post story.
The burger was untouched. There are no In-N-Out's in New York City either.
“We didn’t touch it,” he told the New York Post in its story. “We stopped for a second and took photos and looked around to see if anyone else was noticing it and then we walked on.”
He said he also wondered how the burger got there.
