Mammoth Mountain announced Friday it would be extending its ski and snowboard season into August following a record amount of snowfall in May.
Mammoth has gotten 29 inches of snow in the last three weeks of May, beating the May 2015 record of 28 inches.
More snow is expected before the end of May, with six to 12 inches on Sunday according to Mammoth's website.
Memorial Day might ring in summer officially, but it's feeling a lot more like Christmas at Mammoth Mountain.
So far, Mammoth has received 489 inches of snow at Main Lodge and a massive 715 inches at the summit.
According to the website, conditions were described as fresh, packed powder, with the trails machine groomed.
