
Want to see the latest and biggest 7.1 earthquake in Ridgecrest mapped out?
The Pacific Tsunami Warning Center has a new video on its YouTube page that shows animation coveringa period of 30 years in California in order to put the Ridgecrest earthquakes in context and show how they compare with other recent, noteworthy earthquakes. The earthquake occurred July 5 after a 6.4 earthquake July 4.
The earthquake animation in the video below begins in 1989 and shows the 6.9 Loma Prieta earthquake and includes the 6.7 Northridge earthquake.
