Airbnb is offering a sabbatical to five lucky, lucky travelers that will happen later on this year billed on its website as "a research expedition to the most isolated place on Earth."
The lucky people will also be helping research with British scientist Kirstie Jones-Williams through a partnership with non-profit Ocean Conservancy, according to a story from Conde Nast Traveler.
The scientist is currently studying whether micro-plastics have made their way from our oceans and into the Antarctic ice shelf, the story said.
They'll be working as volunteer scientists and gain training and taking classes in Punta Arenas, Chile.
The trip is a month-long, all expenses paid, a first-of-its-kind scientific expedition to Antarctica. The trip is from November 18th through December 16th. Applications open from 12:00am EDT on September 24, 2019 until 11:59pm EDT on October 8, 2019.
