Two bald eagle eggs have achieved internet stardom among wildlife fans.
They've been waiting for more than a month -- and finally, one of two eggs laid by a bald eagle near Big Bear Lake hatched over the weekend.
The group Friends of Big Bear Valley set up a webcam and nature lovers have been keeping a close eye on the live feed.
The U.S. Forest Service tweeted that the chick poked its head out of the shell yesterday.
The other could hatch at any time now.
The video feed shows the eagle nestling on the egg. A count completed late last year found 11 bald eagles living in the forest east of Los Angeles. The camera was installed by the group Friends of Big Bear Valley.
