A new effort by the Los Angeles City Attorney is underway to shut down unlicensed marijuana dispensaries.
The Civil Action, brought by City Attorney Mike Feuer, names Kush Club 20, an illegal marijuana shop on Central Avenue, saying it was selling marijuana containing pesticides that are listed as carcinogenic.
Feuer also said the real estate firm had listed the use of the location as a church in an effort to hide what was going on and it could have much wider implications.
In a press conference Wednesday, Feuer detailed the lawsuit on alleged unlicensed pot shop selling pesticide-laden marijuana, saying ..."the suit seeks a civil penalty of $20,000 for each day that illegal activity occurred..." at the marijuana shop in a tweet.
