Police today sought public help in identifying three people they believe removed mail from mailboxes at a Westlake apartment building.

About 1:50 p.m. on Jan. 24, the suspects entered an apartment building in the 1300 block of West Seventh Street and on three separate locations in February, the Los Angeles Police Department said.

One of the suspects gained entry through the locked apartment complex with a key fob, a small security device with built-in authentication used to control and secure access to network services and data.

He then rode the elevator to the second floor, where the mail room is located and used a counterfeit mailbox key to open mailboxes and remove the mail.

He also used an electronic code to access the package locker to remove packages.

The second suspect was described as a 5 feet 3 inch tall Latino female weighing about 140 pounds. She last was seen wearing a black track suit.

A third suspect was described as a 5 feet 9 inch tall Latino man weighing about 230 pounds. He last was seen wearing a blue hoodie.

LAPD Rampart station detectives asked anyone with any information regarding the burglaries to call them at (213) 484-3486.
