A big protest march began in San Pedro Tuesday morning where dockworkers were angry over a plan that could replace them with machines.
Harbor Commissioners were scheduled to vote on a firm using automated trucks Tuesday but Mayor Eric Garcetti asked to postpone the meeting for 30 days.
At the urging of LA’s mayor, the Harbor Commissioners decided to put off a vote that would have allowed the world’s largest shipping firm to begin installing automated equipment at the Port and possibly driverless trucks.

April 16, 2019 As many as 2,000 people were expected to protest this morning's meeting of the L.A. Board of Harbor Commissioners.
They're angry about a plan to allow driver-less electric cargo trucks at the Port of Los Angeles.
The drivers say they're concerned about job losses while supporters say the new equipment will help meet the port's clean air rules.
