
Two people were detained and four were injured -- one critically -- in a shooting near a taco stand in the Westlake neighborhood. At least two bystanders were also injured, authorities said Thursday.

Los Angeles Police Department officers from the department's Newton Division responded just after midnight to an area near Wilshire Boulevard and Alvarado Street regarding a shots fired call. When they arrived at the scene, officers learned the suspects had been shooting a man and four people were struck by gunfire, NBC 4 reported.
One of the victims was taken to a hospital in critical condition. A security guard also suffered a gunshot wound to the leg.
Two others were taken to a hospital in unknown conditions, police said.
NBC 4 reported two suspects were arrested in connection with the shooting.
