A blind, four-month-old kitten is hoping to find her forever home.

Elizabeth Oreck, the senior manager of community engagement for Best Friends Animal Society in Los Angeles, told KNX News’ Emily Valdez that Foxy came to them at the end of August from L.A. Animal Services' West Valley location.

“She arrived at Best Friends completely blind, but her eyes were incredibly painful, severely enlarged, and she was really suffering,” Oreck said. “So the Best Friend's medical team decided that the best thing for her would be to just remove her eyes to improve her quality of life, get all of the pain out of her daily life, and she is doing great.”

Oreck said that those looking to adopt Foxy should know she needs a  home with  “predictable surroundings.”

“Things are not going to be influx or unpredictable or rearranged or any of those kinds of things,” she said. “She would like to have somebody around as much as possible. She's very affectionate, very adventurous. Nothing has slowed her down at all. Being blind doesn't seem to be an impediment to her. She just is incredibly sweet and just wants to be a part of a family where she can explore and be cuddled, and she's really a best friend's staff favorite. We love her so much.”
