California Highway Patrol officers chased a silver Mercedes-Benz on the Riverside (91) Freeway, as the driver changed lanes multiple times while entering the Corona area and reaching speeds up to 100 mph.

The Mercedes Benz managed to bypass several PIT maneuver attempts, as CHP officers worked collaboratively to terminate the chase.

According to broadcast reports, the daughter of the driver was in communication with the CHP and told officers that her father said he was afraid to pull over and surrender.

The suspect came to a stop just before 4 p.m. in a South Los Angeles parking lot. He exited his vehicle and was taken into custody.
