BUENA PARK, Calif. (KNX) — A suspected DUI driver was arrested Sunday night after the car the were driving flew off a 91 Freeway off ramp and collided with a motel in Buena Park.
According to the California Highway Patrol, the crash occurred shortly after 11 p.m. when a 2019 BMW traveling onto the eastbound off ramp at Beach Boulevard at an unknown speed failed to negotiate a curve in the road. The vehicle veered off the ramp and collided with several freeway signs, proceeded through a fence, and crashed into the Quality Inn located at 7555 Beach Boulevard.
No injuries were reported inside the vehicle or the motel, according to CHP.
Officers arrested the driver on suspicion of driving under the influence.
