Some mass confusion over the vaccine shots here in Los Angeles as thousands of appointments went unfilled at Dodger Stadium Tuesday. Probably because people thought they couldn’t receive the first dose, only the second dose.
Thousands of COVID-19 vaccine appointment slots were available Tuesday at Dodger Stadium, following what appeared to be a mix-up in messaging. The seeming confusion stemmed from county officials referring to the first-dose shortage only being at sites run by the county itself, while other sites like Dodger Stadium are run by the city of Los Angeles.
At county-run sites, L.A. County Public Health says people seeking their first dose have to wait this week, so they have enough vaccines to provide second doses.
You have to make an appointment and you still have to be 65 or older, or a health care worker.

The Dodger Stadium vaccination site closes in the next couple of hours.
