Local gas prices have now been dropping for three months in a row, sliding to their lowest levels in 10 months.
Doug Shupe, with AAA, told KNX News that the average price for a gallon of regular gas is $4.70 in L.A. County and $4.55 in Orange County.
He said lower oil prices are causing the lower gas prices. Shupe explained that despite an increase in demand for gas during the holidays, prices haven’t increased.
It's likely prices will continue to drop after the holidays because the demand for gas is usually its lowest in the winter, he said.
