A 20-year-old man was arrested in connection with the death of a five-year-old boy in Panorama City.
Elyjiah Hearn was found dead behind a dumpster on the morning of July 12.
On Tuesday night, police detained five people. One of those detained, a man identified as Brycson Gaddis, was identified as the suspect and booked for murder on Wednesday, according to the Los Angeles Police Department.
“It is believed that he is who caused the death and ultimately put the body in the dumpster there on Van Nuys Boulevard,” Detective Meghan Aguilar told KNX News’ Jon Baird.
She added that Gaddis is not Elyjiah’s biological father.
