HUNTINGTON PARK, Calif. (KNX) — A man who was shot Monday night in Huntington Park died Wednesday, according to authorities.
The shooting happened around 9 p.m. Monday in the 2700 block of Gage Avenue, according to the Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Department.
The victim was taken to a local hospital, where he died of his injuries in the early hours of Wednesday morning, according to Deputy David Yoo.
The victim was identified by family members as Jose Leandro Jr. A GoFundMe campaign started by Leandro's family had already reached nearly $6,000 as of Thursday afternoon.
