Glendale police on Friday were investigating a man's death at a Home Depot store in the city.
Officers were sent to investigate a report of a man having a medical emergency in the store's parking lot at 5040 San Fernando Road at about 8:10 a.m. Thursday, according to Sgt. Jose Barajas of the Glendale Police Department.

They found a man in his 40s who had been pulled from the vehicle by its driver and a good Samaritan because the man was in obvious medical distress, the sergeant said.
Glendale Fire Department personnel arrived and tried to save the man, but he was pronounced dead at the scene.
"During the course of the investigation, officers learned the deceased male had entered the Home Depot and was involved in a theft prior to experiencing the medical emergency," Barajas said.
The driver of the vehicle the man had been in left the scene before officers arrived, Barajas said.
