A group that already provides healthy meals to schools and other communities in need is now serving more homebound seniors. Those interested in the program can check it out here.
In a recent press release, the group Revolution Foods announced that it would deliver free home meals to seniors in need through a partnership with the City of Los Angeles. Seniors age 60 and older who are covered by the program face food insecurity and mobility challenges.
Before expanding its service into Los Angeles Revolution Foods organized programs in Kern County, West Covina and 19 communities in the San Gabriel Valley through a partnership with the YWCA San Gabriel Valley. In Los Angeles, more than 1,000 seniors are expected to participate in the program. Overall, the group provides 16,000 meals a week to seniors.
