LOS FELIZ, LOS ANGELES (KNX) – When a Los Feliz couple returned to their home Saturday night, they were met with an unexpected guest.

Cylin Busby and Damon Ross told CBS L.A. they noticed a large figure in their driveway as they drove to their house.

“We were driving up the street at night, just saw a rather creepy movie and we see a large creature from this side of the block to our house," Ross told the outlet.

The creature is believed to be P-22, a mountain lion who is well-known in the Los Feliz and Griffith Park area. The mountain lion made his debut at Griffith Park ten years ago, according to the Los Angeles Times. Since then, he has been tracked by wildlife officials in 2012.

"He just kind of looked at us and we looked at him and he looked at us, we looked at him, he looked at us and we were like who is going to flinch?," Busby recalled.

Ana Beatriz Cholo, spokesperson for the National Park Service’s Santa Monica Mountains area, told the L.A. Times while she has not confirmed if the mountain lion was in fact P-22, it's possible.

"But there aren’t any other mountain lions living in Griffith Park or in that area,” she said.

The mountain lion did not overstay his welcome, eventually leaving the area. The couple said they waited a few minutes after he left to go inside their house.
