A mountain lion was spotted in a residential area in Pasadena just south of the 210 Freeway on Friday.
It was spotted just after 11 a.m in the area of Del Mar Blvd. & Euclid Ave.
Pasadena city spokesperson Lisa Derderian told KNX News’ Pete Demetriou there are concerns about what and who is in the neighborhood nearby, which prompted them to do closures.
“There's a school down the street that led out when this call came out, so our concern was ensuring the students quickly got into their vehicles and left the area,” she said. “The convention center is just north of here. Hundreds of people today for graduations, so we have our police departments surrounding this cat.”
She added that officials with the Pasadena Humane Society were at the scene and that officials with the Department of Fish and Wildlife were on their way.
