Havoc slipped through a gap in Yasmine Haezart’s yard and was stolen by a passing driver. KTLA reports that she never gave up on her search, even quitting her job as a teacher to dedicate more time to finding the pup.

Haezert hired cadaver dogs, created flyers, and used social media to spread the word. During the two-year search, she helped bring five other missing or stolen French bulldogs back to their owners.

Finally, thanks to the help of Good Samaritans, Havoc was found nearly 100 miles away in Apple Valley.

Haezert said the dog’s microchip and her constant updates on social media helped bring him home.
