Excitement was brewing at the California Science Museum on Wednesday as the Space Shuttle Endeavor was unveiled in its new home at the future Samuel Ocshin Air and Space Center.
KNX News’ Karen Adams reported that the reveal for Endeavor began with a five-minute introduction video before opening its doors to unveil the shuttle.

“We want to inspire a feeling of awe in everybody,” Dennis Jenkins, the project manager, told Adams.
Museum officials said the center is the only place where people can see a “complete, authentic space shuttle system, displayed in a 20-story launch position.”
Lynda Ocshin, the widow of Samuel Oschin, said she’s happy to see this day come.
“It is a dream come true,” she said. It's been a long time, and I've watched it every day for a lot of years.”
The exhibit will open to the public on Nov. 13, 2026.
Construction on the Oschin Air and Space Center started in June 2022 and was finished in April 2026.
