More than a thousand students protested President Trump's deportation plan in downtown Los Angeles on Tuesday.
KNX News’ Craig Fiegener reported that the students gathered on Spring Street on the steps of City Hall before moving to Grand Park.
This is the third day of protests in downtown L.A., with the first protest on Sunday where protesters blocked the 101 Freeway.
On Monday night, a large number of protesters were detained. LAPD Commander Lillian Carranza told KNX News’ Pete Demetriou that one of the demonstrators had a firearm while another reportedly shot fireworks at an LAPD helicopter.
This is a developing story.
