Suspect arrested in WeHo Whole Foods stabbing

LOS ANGELES (KNX) — A 44-year-old man was arrested Sunday evening in the stabbing of a man outside a West Hollywood Whole Foods, officials said.

David Cook was arrested after officers with the Los Angeles Police Department received a tip from someone who recognized Cook from a news release, according to NBC 4.

On Nov. 15, deputies responded to the 7800 block of Santa Boulevard while L.A. County Fire paramedics treated a man who was bleeding from his neck and torso. The victim explained to deputies that he was walking home when a man punched him in the face. When the victim was on the ground, the suspect got on top of him and continued to punch him before pulling out a sharp object and stabbing the victim multiple times in the face and neck.

The victim was taken to the hospital. Police said the victims is recovering at home.
