The Los Angeles County medical examiner's office identified him as Luis Ramirez Martinez.
Martinez fell around 3:25 p.m. Monday in the 7400 block of North Canoga Avenue, according to the Los Angeles Fire Department.
He was pronounced dead at the scene, but no information was available about what caused the fall.
An urban search and rescue team used a high-angle rope system to retrieve Martinez's body, which crews covered to shield from public view.
The Mayor's Crisis Response Team responded to the location to provide emotional support to the victim's co-workers.
