Residents in a Westwood neighborhood are frustrated with a home they call the “Hell House.”

The home is located on Ensley Ave. Neighbors told KNX News’ Karen Adams that the brother and sister who own the house on have abandoned it and are living in their only working car, allowing squatters and thieves to run amok.

“[There’s been] more than 50 burglaries and break-ins, probably the same amount or more of people jumping in there to do prostitution and drugs, alcohol,” one resident said. “Their house is a fire hazard to your community. They have junk out there that is very flammable.”

Kerry, who lives next door, said the house has caused her plenty of issues.

“It's beyond living in your worst nightmare,” she said. “I can't have people over to my house. My children can't have friends over. I'm actively looking for a rental in another place so that I don't have to be here.”

Another neighbor served the homeowners with a restraining order.

L.A. City Councilmember Katy Yaroslavsky told Adams she sent a letter to the city attorney asking that the home be declared a nuisance.

Adams also spoke with the owners, who said the neighbors are not telling the truth.
