LOS ANGELES (KNX) — Gusty winds will impact much of Los Angeles and Ventura Counties Tuesday, prompting wind advisories through 2 p.m.

The National Weather Service issued the alert Monday, saying the gusty Santa Ana Winds will primarily impact the mountains, valleys and Ventura Coast. Northeast winds in those areas are expected to reach anywhere from 35 to 50 mph.

Tuesday the NWS released overnight winds speeds, with the strongest seen in the Magic Mountain Truck Trail through the L.A. County Mountains — where winds reached 64 mph just before 1 a.m.
