The minty, green shake makes its 2025 debut on February 10.
In addition, 25 cents from each shake sold will be donated to the Ronald McDonald House Charities of Pittsburgh and Morgantown.
McDonald’s goal is to raise $5 million across the country from Shamrock Shake sales. That would provide 50,000 stays for families at Ronald McDonald houses across the country.
And a classic McDonald’s character is also returning for the first time in nearly 40 years.
McDonaldland character Grimace and his “vibrant, joyful and generous, Uncle O’Grimacey” is are part of the promotion for the shake’s return.
Uncle O’Grimacey hasn’t been seen in McDonald’s advertising since the mid-1980s.

McDonaldland characters have reappeared in the fast food giant’s advertising over the past few years, including the return of Grimace in 2023.
Uncle O’Grimacey merchandize is also now available online.
The Shamrock Shake will be available through March 23 at most McDonald’s locations.
