
ORANGE COUNTY, Calif. (KNX) — Fountain Valley Police arrested one man following a smash-and-grab robbery at a T-Mobile store Tuesday night.
Three men were seen by officers damaging display cases inside the location on Newhope Street around 6:30 p.m., the department said.
The suspects were about to leave the store with Apple watches and iPhones they ripped from display cases, when they saw the officers.
Officers chased after one of suspects and eventually arrested him after he attempted to hide. The suspect was identified as Albert Alexander Murkinson.
Murkinson was booked into Orange County Jail for burglary, conspiracy to commit burglary, resisting arrest and felony vandalism. His bail is set at $20,000.
“All 11 Apple iPhones and watches were recovered at the scene,” the department wrote. “These items were worth $6,696 and the subjects caused approximately $1,000 worth of damage to the display cases.”
The two other suspects were seen getting into a black Nissan Maxima.
