Sacramento teacher arrested on suspicion of performing lewd acts on minors, deputies say

SACRAMENTO, Calif. (KNX) – A Sacramento area teacher was put behind bars Monday for allegedly performing lewd acts on numerous children, the Sacramento County Sheriff’s Office announced.

53-year-old Enrique Rodriguez Valladres, a third grade teacher at Bowling Green Chacon Language and Science Academy, faces eight counts of lewd or lascivious acts with a child under 14 years old, according to a press release.

Deputies said Valladres was accused of performing lewd acts with numerous minors between August 2017 to June 2019.

The office’s child abuse detectives worked with Valladares’ defense attorney to get him to turn himself in.

Valladres is booked at Sacramento County Main Jail on one million dollar bail.
