
Thousands of Bay Area residents are without power during the region's second storm this week.
After drenching the region on Sunday and Monday, rain returned to the Bay Area on Wednesday night. PG&E estimated 247,000 customers in Northern and Central California lost power earlier in the week, and about 11,000 more were without power as of Wednesday night.

More than 3,200 customers in San Mateo County, about 3,100 in Sonoma County, 2,000 in San Francisco and almost 1,400 in Solano County lacked power as of 8:43 p.m., within the first hours of significant rainfall reaching the Bay Area. Of the 11,286 outages PG&E reported at that time, 9,668 lived in those four counties.
There was no word as of press time when power would be restored.
