DALLAS (1080 KRLD) - The Dallas Area Rapid Transit (DART) system got some great news today, about $60 million in federal funding will let them make some needed upgrades.
The US Department of Transportation's Federal Transit Administration made the announcement in Plano today.
With this federal grant, DART will be able to expand their red and blue lines.
When that project is done, tracks will be able to accomodate three car trains instead of two car trains.
