ARLINGTON (1080 KRLD) - A drug deal gone wrong led to a shootout that left a woman injured in the parking lot of an Arlington Whataburger Saturday morning.
Police responded to the Whataburger in the 4100 block of S. Collins St. at about 1:50 a.m. The deal began in the 1600 block of Caplin Dr and apparently went south when unidentified suspects fired toward a car, shooting a rider inside.
That vehicle then drove to the Whataburger where police say a silver Chevy Cruze could be seen riddled with bullets, a broken back windshield, a bullet in the headrest and a flat passenger side rear tire. The investigation is ongoing.
