DALLAS (1080 KRLD) - If you'll be spending time outdoors this weekend, don't forget the sunscreen.
One in 5 Americans will be diagnosed with skin cancer in their lifetime but you can help prevent it by protecting your skin.
Use a sunscreen with an SPF of 30 or higher. Read the label and make sure it provides broad-spectrum coverage and is water resistant. Apply a generous amount to your entire body 15 minutes before heading outdoor. Re-apply every 2 hours or immediately after swimming or working up a good sweat.
Skin cancer is the most common in the US.
