DALLAS (KRLD) - The 28-year-old man who was found guilty Tuesday of murdering his girlfriend has been sentenced to life in prison.
A jury in Caldwell County convicted Robert Fabian of killing 22-year-old Zuzu Verk.
Verk, a Keller Timber Creek High School graduate, was a student at Sul Ross State University at the time of her death. Her remains were found two years ago in a shallow grave in nearby Alpine.
Fabian reported Verk missing in Oct. 2016. Her body was found in Feb. 2017.
