
As schools continue to reopen in North Texas one district that opened for in-person learning is already reporting cases of COVID-19.
The Prosper ISD says three people have tested positive for COVID-19 since school started last Wednesday.
Parents and staff on the impacted campus are getting emails from the district, and anyone in close contact with the people who are sick have also been notified.
Prosper was one of the first district’s in North Texas to reopen for in-person learning.
Today more school districts in North Texas are preparing to welcome students back to class, either online or in person.
In Tarrant County, Hurst-Euless Bedford ISD is beginning the semester online only today. In-person classes aren’t set to start back up again until September 28th.
The Sunnyvale ISD in Dallas County was originally meant to start in-person classes today but the school board pushed the first day of school to August 25th instead.
