American is offering most union workers early retirements in some cases and voluntary, unpaid leave in others.
Over the weekend, American and the pilots union agreed on a plan with voluntary leave along with reduced pay. Now, the carrier is offering unpaid options to the flight attendants and mechanics.
However, reservation agents are not eligible for this offer because, for them, it's all-hands-on-deck because of the need to re-book countless passengers who are re-scheduling because of virus concerns.
