DALLAS (KRLD) - In a first-of-its-kind report released Tuesday, the American Lung Association said transitioning to an electric transportation sector by 2050 would save billions of dollars and thousands of lives in the U.S.
"The Road to Clean Air" study says reduced emissions from such a transition to electric cars, buses, and trucks would improve air quality and address climate change, providing significant benefits for North Texas residents.
Based on projected emission reductions in 2050, the Lung Association says approximately 182 deaths would be avoided, and $2 billion in public health benefits would be preserved.
