JOHNSON COUNTY (1080 KRLD) - An anonymous donor is making life a little easier for emergency workers in Johnson County.
"Sometimes a crisis like this brings out the best in people," said Jamie Moore with Johnson County Emergency Management.
Yesterday, Moore received a phone call from someone looking to make a donation of N-95 masks. Right now, these protective medical masks are in short supply across the state, and the situation is growing more dire every day.
Moore says the donor is a volunteer who typically responds in disaster situations, which is why they had a stash of N-95 masks. 750 masks, to be exact. He donated them all to emergency workers in Johnson County.

March 23, 2020 "With this one individual donation, we've been able to address the majority of [the county's> critical needs," said Moore. "We're hopeful that the impact will just be a ripple effect across the county in regards to the capacity to test and the capacity to continue to respond."
Moore says the donation is desperately needed, incredibly valuable and came just in the nick of time.
"We're just really thankful that they were able to share what they had," Moore said.
