IRVING (1080 KRLD) - Investigators say a fire at a two-story apartment complex in Irving could have been set on purpose.
The call came around 8:30 this morning: flames ripping through one of the buildings at the Meadowbrook Heights apartment complex on Carl Road.
Jason Reid with the Irving Fire Department says crews were able to get the blaze under control a little after 9 a.m.
"We're investigating this fire as a possibly intentionally set fire," Reid says. "But currently, it's under investigation and we don't have a determination yet."
Reid says two people were injured in the fire, one was treated and released at the scene. The other was rushed to the hospital in an unknown condition.
About 100 people living in the apartment complex have been displaced.
